Design meets encounters: the Bruno Wickart Lounges at the ZFF 2025

ZFF 25 - Experience the Zurich Film Festival 2025 with Bruno Wickart

During the Zurich Film Festival 2025, we are creating five exclusive lounges as places to arrive, linger and marvel. Each lounge tells its own design story – and invites you to be part of this atmosphere.

Our lounges: islands of peace in the hustle and bustle of the festival

The Zurich Film Festival is a stage for impressive stories – and interiors also tell stories. We at Bruno Wickart are making a special contribution to the festival: in several lounges, we are transforming public and VIP areas into stylish retreats where design and film culture merge. https://www.datocms-assets.com/152459/1747028061-zff-masters-2024_kate-winslet_arena-sihlcity-pascal-bovey_for-zff-2.jpg?fm=webp The lounges are not just waiting rooms or decorative areas, but carefully staged spaces that facilitate encounters, relaxation and inspiration. Here, guests can hold conversations, absorb new impulses, rest or experience the magic of the festival with all their senses.

The five lounges at a glance

ZFF Lounge Festival Centre

This spacious lounge is located right in the heart of the festival centre and is open to all visitors – even those without a ticket. With modular furniture from Connection by Flokk as well as tables and seating from the Profim collection, we create flexible worlds of experience: Spaces for working, observing and relaxing. https://www.datocms-assets.com/152459/1747028066-talk-it-out_documentaries-in-the-spotlight-festival-zentrum-fz-urs-westermann_for-zff-2.jpg?fm=webp A vibrant microcosm is created here: compositions in colours, shapes and materials invite casual encounters – not as an audience, but as active guests.

ZFF Lounge Frauenbadi

In the Frauenbadi VIP lounge, we create a light and airy atmosphere – inspired by the beach, summer and lightness. Light, transparent furniture, fine materials and discreet lighting design give the lounge a nonchalantly exclusive feel. Guests can take in the rhythm of the festival here: in quiet conversation, with a view or while consciously pausing between film blocks.

NZZ Lounge (VIP Lounge)

Themes, media and people merge in this lounge: This is where media professionals, festival organisers and guests meet. With furniture from Fritz Hansen, Lapalma, Ferm Living and other partners, we create an elegant atmosphere that is both functional and warm at the same time. contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4} Elegance meets function: well thought-out lighting concepts and clear lines support concentrated dialogue, relaxed working or media information.

ZFF Lounge Ship MS Wädenswil

Treat yourself to a view of the lake: the MS Wädenswil panorama ship is transformed into an elegant VIP lounge on the water. With fine furniture from de Sede and atmospheric lighting from Artemide, a maritime setting with a view is created. Whether a corporate event, reception or private function – here, meetings become an exclusive experience, set against the backdrop of Lake Zurich.

Our design idea: atmosphere instead of furnishings

Each lounge has its own mood – tailored to the location and use. We pay attention to:
  • Room flow & zoning: movement areas, conversation islands and places of retreat create balance.
  • Material & feel: leather, textiles, metal, light – finely tuned for a sense of well-being.
  • Modularity: Furniture that can be moved, combined and customised.
  • Lighting & acoustics: islands of light, indirect structures and acoustic elements create an atmosphere without noise.
  • Brand partnerships: Original design from Vitra, de Sede, Fritz Hansen, Artemide, Connection, Flokk and many more integrated into harmonious scenes.
