Légère: A textile reinterpretation with history
The new edition of Légère 2025 – designed by Angelo Mangiarotti and Chiara Pampo – embodies a modern vision of seating. Instead of conventional upholstery, an innovative, self-supporting textile element is skilfully combined with a solid wooden frame. The generously proportioned armchairs and sofas radiate lightness and serenity – with removable cushions in finely coordinated colours.
The oak wood construction – natural or coloured – meets the technical piqué fabric, which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Designer Paola Lenti on the new edition: “I found the connection between the frame and the seat cushions surprisingly modern for the time. This made me want to reissue Légère in a textile version.”
