The company was founded and named within a few days: Royal Botania, an allusion to both the natural beauty of the lush botanical gardens and the “royal class” for garden furniture. The company quickly became internationally synonymous with luxurious design and quality. The reputation and the brand gained worldwide recognition. This success paved the way for the further development of Royal Botania with the introduction of new materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibres. Palma parasol
The Palma parasol with base Ø 300cm was created by designer Kris Van Puyvelde for the manufacturer Royal Botania. Kris Van Puyvelde, designer and engineer, has reinvented the parasol with the products in the Palma series. The Palma parasol with base Ø 300cm revolutionises the design and functionality of parasols and focuses on ease of use and an organic look. The base and pole of the parasol are made of stainless steel and covered with a high-quality fabric made of coloured polyacrylic (300 gr/sqm). 
The special feature of the Palma parasol with base Ø 300cm is the completely newly developed mode of operation. All mechanical parts are concealed inside the construction. Thanks to the intelligent mechanism, the automatic parasol opens almost by itself and reveals its extraordinary appearance in its span width with a diameter of 3 metres. It is available in four different colour combinations and is supplied complete with base. The special construction gives the impression that the parasol is made from a single piece, as neither the hand crank nor visible screws detract from the design. It was therefore rightly honoured with the Red Dot Design Award. It sets new standards in the technical and aesthetic field of shading balconies, terraces and gardens. The parasols from Royal Botania outshine everything that has gone before. Aluminium is a metal that combines high stability with light weight. This makes it perfect for the production of furniture. When treated correctly, it is highly resistant to abrasion, e.g. when powder-coated. In the powder coating process, after the aluminium has been chemically pre-treated, an epoxy powder is statically applied and dried.
Fabric cover
Royal Botania fabrics are woven from multi-coloured acrylic fibres. They guarantee optimum water resistance and UV protection and offer years of comfort.
