A real design innovation: To mark the 60th anniversary of the iconic USM Haller modular furniture system, USM is launching a surprising innovation – the USM Haller Soft Panel. The textile addition brings colour, structure and acoustics to the modular system and opens up new creative freedom.
Developed in collaboration with the French designer Marc Venot and finalised by the US studio JOBA under Kevin Jones, the Soft Panel is a statement of versatility and sustainability. Made from high-quality synthetic fibre with 40% Seaqual® Fibres – recycled marine plastic – it impresses with its durability, feel and function.
The panels can be flexibly attached and flipped without tools thanks to the magnetic mechanism. Three formats, ten colours and the diagonal, round and vertical patterns invite you to playfully combine them. A real experience for design lovers who appreciate individuality.

🧩 Concept and design
The USM Haller Soft Panels were developed to expand the visual and functional diversity of the modular furniture system. They combine textile surfaces with the modular metal frame – without tools, assembly work or technical devices. The result is a completely new look and feel within the familiar USM design.
