About the designer Cecilie Manz
Cecilie Manz, born in Denmark in 1972, grew up in a family of artists and came into contact with design at an early age. After studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and a semester abroad at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, she founded her own studio in Copenhagen in 1998. Her work, which includes industrially manufactured products as well as experimental prototypes and one-off sculptural pieces, is known for its combination of functionality and striking aesthetics.
