The formal quality of Jasper Morrison’s designs is not the strikingly new or even fashionable, but the updating and perfecting of a familiar typology – as is the case with the HAL Lounge Chair, with which Morrison reinterprets the upholstered high-back armchair on four legs.

Despite its compact dimensions, the armchair is exceptionally comfortable. The loose cushions for the seat and neck ensure a soft sitting sensation, and if loose cushions are not desired, the HAL Lounge Chair is also available with an integrated seat cushion.

Thanks to its understated design, the HAL Lounge Chair is versatile and can be used at home or in public spaces, as a single chair, for two or in groups. Material description

Armchair/body: glass fiber reinforced plastic shell, foamed in polyurethane molded foam.
Filling neck cushion: fibre balls and siliconized fibres.
Filling of loose seat cushion: polyurethane foam.
Base: natural oak or dark oak, connection between seat shell and base made of die-cast aluminum, powder-coated dimgrey.
Seat heights: armchair with loose seat cushion 420 mm (seated 320 mm, determined in accordance with EN 1335-1); armchair with integrated seat cushion 400 mm (seated 320 mm, determined in accordance with EN 1335-1).
Ottoman: Plywood panel, polyurethane foam and polyester wadding.
Base: Natural oak or dark oak, foot connection made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic.
Wood origin: Oak (Quercus robur) from Western Europe and/or Poland.
Glides: plastic glides for carpeted floors or felt glides for hard floors.
Covers: removable.
