USM, the Swiss specialist for modular furniture, is all in pink for once. In collaboration with Monocle and the legendary Rossignoli bicycle store, a pink place to linger has been created in the Brera district.
The concept around the color
USM returns to Brera in 2022 and introduces a special product color that encourages the public to immerse themselves and reflect on what comfort means to them and the important role color plays in design and architecture. This soft hue is associated with warmth, joy and optimism and shapes the installation in such a way that visitors can relax and unwind. A welcome counterbalance to the hustle and bustle of the Salone del Mobile. USM sets an exclamation mark with this limited special color and offers visitors an eye-catching world of color.
Pure sustainability. For this reason, the limited special edition in pink will not only characterize the USM installation at the Milano Design Week, but soon also the living rooms and offices of some USM fans who want to carry out the message of True Pink from USM and make a statement about color. The entire structure will be carefully dismantled and rebuilt into five configurations of USM Haller furniture. The limited True Pink collection, consisting of a bar trolley, TV trolley, mobile pedestal and two home office solutions – a total of 2022 pieces of furniture – will be available from June 6, 2022 and while stocks last in Switzerland in the online store at www.bruno-wickart.ch.
Color and design experiment
Visitors to the USM installation who want to be inspired by the color experiment can also take part in the discussion. They are invited to use a special furniture configurator to design their dream USM Haller configuration in any RAL color. Participants can submit their ideas to the USM team on site. At the end of the Milano Design Week, a prize draw will be held and one lucky winner will then receive a custom-made piece in the color and design of their choice.
