Vitra: A symbiosis of tradition and innovation
Vitra, a name that resonates in the world of home and office furniture. A name that stands for tradition and innovation and is deeply rooted in the history of design. The Vitra Haus, an architectural masterpiece in Weil am Rhein, attracts architecture lovers from all over the world. Designed by Frank Gehry, it symbolizes the connection between past and present.
The masterpieces of Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson
When you think of Vitra, the names Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson immediately spring to mind. Their designs are not only design classics, but also testaments to their time. The Eames Lounge Chair with Ottoman or the Panton Chair by Verner Panton are just two examples of world-famous seating furniture that has lasted for generations.
Vitra innovations: An ode to sustainability and longevity
Vitra stands not only for design, but also for the sustainability and longevity of its products. The Eames Fiberglass Chairs or the Aluminum Group series are examples of how Vitra manages to combine tradition and modernity. Every piece of furniture tells a story, and at Vitra this story is continued with every new product.

VITRA: HAL product family

„Special is usually less usable than normal“ is Jasper Morrison’s guiding principle for a design that is not extraordinary but „super normal“ and, like HAL, conforms to the laws of everyday life. With HAL, he has reinterpreted the multifunctional shell chair and created a versatile family with a clear, contemporary expression. The shape of the seat shell offers plenty of freedom of movement and allows different sitting positions – even sideways or astride.

The 15 bases of the chair can be combined with a plastic shell (HAL), with a plywood seat shell (HAL Ply) or with a lightly upholstered and leather-covered shell (HAL Leather). In the versions with a plastic seat shell and powder-coated base, HAL is also suitable for outdoor use. A seat cover in various fabric colors is also available for HAL and a seat cushion for the HAL models with plastic shell.
